Light Black is the name for a rare coat that is found in Arabians. As the name suggests the horse appears to be a chocolaty black colour when on the black base. The Light Black dilute gene runs in one notable family of Arabian’s. Ali-Zeus, an Arab Stallion, being the most famous for this colour, however, he also has a sister who is the same colour. Other horse’s in his bloodline both older and younger have been able to produce a Light Black. Ali-Zeus is genetically tested as EEaa with no other genes present.
