Tovero is the name for horses carrying both Tobiano and Overo genes. A Tovero horse tends to have far more white then that of a Tobiano horse and that of an Overo Horse. The most common Tovero coat is the combination of Tobiano and Frame Overo. However, Tobiano and Sabino 1 is becoming notable in popularity as well. The general white distribution on a horse to be considered Tovero puts white over the majority of the body leaving areas such as the stifle fold, ears (called a Medicine Hat) and chest (called a Shield) present with colour.
